Light Painting Workshop

 

Are you interested in Light Painting Photography? Would you like to know how light painting is done without the use of programs like Photoshop?

This is a beginners workshop which will show you the basics about Light Painting.

The workshop will include:

  • Basics about night photography
  • Camera setting and equipment
  • Light Sources
  • Basics about finding the ideal location
  • How to create an orb/sphere
  • How to incorporate the location into your creation.

The workshop will be held at night in the greater Brisbane area (Australia. See below for current location), in groups of max 6 people (larger groups on request). The workshop will start at 7.30pm on a weekend night and will go for 3-4 hours depending on size of group and creativity. In case date is fully booked, you will be notified and placed into the next available workshop (first comes, first served). Workshop is held only if it isn't raining, you will be notified if it is postponed.

Bookings of groups of 4 or more can request date (must be on a weekend night) and location of workshop (suburb).

 

For the workshop you will need:

  • A DSLR Camera with a wide angle lens (preferable)
  • A remote shutter release, wireless (with release lock) or cable
  • Tripod
  • Camera Manual
  • Sturdy footwear (preferably dark)
  • Dark old clothing (depending on activity you may end up with dirty clothes. Jumper in the colder months.)
  • Torch light/s or anything which glows (bright)... 

To get the most out of this workshop, it is essential to have an understanding of your camera and equipment.

 

Cost: $80.00* per person.
